    All our shoes are hand-crafted by master shoemakers in our workshop. It is natural and to have slight differences of colour in the resulting product than the product photograph, since we work with different batches of different materials. Especially when it comes to leather, it is not possible to obtain the very same colour in different batches. This is natural and is a part of the hand-crafted shoe-making process. Similarly, in shoes where fabric material is used, the patterns may vary slightly from the photograph.

    We care about how you look and how you feel when you wear Movimiento Tango Shoes. We put our best efforts to produce the best shoes according to your needs that will keep you comfortable and elegant on the dance floor for a long time.

    You can check our Size Guide for measurement tables and see how to measure your feet. It is important to select the right size for your feet.

    If you cannot find your size on the table, you need a half size or you have different sizing needs, you can always place a custom sized order. Just select "Custom Size" in the size box and enter your measurements (foot length and metatarsal girth) to the Custom Sizing box as described in our size guide. Custom sizing takes much more time and effort than usual, so there is a little supplement to the price for custom sizing.

    We always do our best to maximize customer satisfaction. Shopping online can be puzzling, but no worries! We summarize everything for you! HOW TO DETERMINE YOUR SHOE SIZE? 

  • Measure your foot with a ruler and a measuring tape. See the "Measuring Tips" below to make sure that you measure your feet correctly. ​​

  • Check your size from the size tables above. Our sizes are standard in EU sizing system.

  • Custom Sized Orders: If your exact size does not exist on the table you can either choose the closest size (select the greater, not the smaller size) or you can place a custom sized order for shoes that will be made exactly for your feet's measurements. On the product page, just select "Custom Size" in the size box and enter your measurements (foot length and metatarsal girth) to the Custom Sizing box as described in our size guide. Custom sizing takes much more time and effort than usual, so there is a little supplement to the price for custom sizing.

  • Example: If you are a woman with foot length 24 cm and metatarsa girth 21.5 cm, you can choose size 37. If there is a large difference between your measurements and the table, then custom sizing is the best option. For example; If you are a woman with foot length 25 cm, and metatarsa girth 23.5 cm, that means our standard size 38 EU with a length of 25 cm will be too small for you at the metatarsa and you should consider placing a custom sized order.

MEASURING TIPS

  • Measuring the length of your foot

    • Take a piece of paper and stand with your full weight on it. ​Shift your weight a bit forward to flatten your foot. You can place your right next to a wall for the correct position as seen in the image below. 

    • Take a pencil and draw around your foot as close as possible. Make sure the pencil is perpendicular to the paper.

    • Measure between the toe and the heel as a straight line as shown in the picture below.

    • Make sure you measure both feet separately. Many people have different feet. 

    • Your feet swell and expand when you dance. If you can measure your feet after dancing or when they are otherwise swollen that will be much better and more realistic.

  • When measuring the girth (circumference) of your meta-tarsa, use a tape measurer and roll it around the widest part of your foot, not too tight, not too loose, as in the example below. For men's shoes, always wear socks when measuring.

HEEL TYPES

WOMEN'S HEELS

Pont is the heel height of the shoes. The value of "Pont" changes as the shoe size change.

For example, 13 pont heel of a size 40 shoe is 8,7 cm and 13 pont heel of a size 35 shoe is 8,2 cm.

 

Approximately; 

11 Pont: 7 - 7,5 cm (~3")

13 Pont: 8,2 - 8,7 cm (~3.5")

15 Pont: 9,8 - 10,4 cm (~4")

IMPORTANT:  In our online store, shoes heels sizes are usually 13-Pont in product photos (unless stated otherwise).

With other heel-heights the shoes will look different because the shapes are different; as you can see below.

WOMEN'S SHOES

ErgoFlex: Super Comfortable Sole with Suede Cover
This is a superb option for those who prefer feeling the ground perfectly with feather-weight tango shoes. You will feel as if they are not there! 
​
It is a good choice for experienced milongueras & milongueros and professionals. It is perfect for glamorous performances as it allows the ultimate flexibility and points & flexes.
​
This sole provides a good grip on the surface thanks to its suede cover, but has much less friction than neolyte soles. We use one layer of cushioning in this sole type to let you feel the ground as much as possible for a perfect and natural feeling of balance.   
​
It is ideal to use this type of sole on a dance floor. Non-ideal surfaces (concrete, outdoors, etc.) may damage this sole quickly. It is a performance tool; a very good and elegant choice for intense dancing.

Standard Sole: Neolyte Rubber
Neolyte is a durable, rubber-based material that provides a firm but elastic structure. When compared to hard leather, neolyte is much more elastic, more ergonomic, comfortable and it is suitable for long hours of dancing.
 
It is a good choice for beginners, experienced milongueras & milongueros and professionals. Neolyte, unlike leather, is also good at enduring a certain level of wetness/humidity. 
​
This sole has a good grip on the surface, but also allows pivots easily. It works well with the cushioning to support your feet.   
 
Additionally, neolyte is also good for dancing on non-ideal, non-wood surfaces as it is both durable and provides an ideal level of friction.

MEN'S SHOES

Standard Sole: Leather Covered
This is the usual and trustworthy choice for men's shoes. Perfect grip and durability, comfort and elegance comes with this classic choice.















Suede Covered Sole
For dancers who prefer less friction and a softer contact on the dancefloor, suede is a very good choice.




 

SHIPPING & DELIVERY

  • Upon receiving your order, we start producing your hand-made shoes with great care. Our processing times are below: 

    • Normal Season: Approximately 30 Days.

    • The processing time for Black Friday, New Year, Holiday promotions may vary (60 +/-15 days) due to the high demand and interest. 
      We work with agility and great effort to deliver your shoes to you in the shortest time possible. Please don't hesitate to ask us if you have any questions.

    • For our customers who ordered in August 2023: We are moving our atelier in August for a capacity increase. That’s why, please note there may be an extra delay of a few days in addition to regular lead times for your orders during this process. 

  • Shoes from the Clearance Sale section are present in our inventory. We ship your products from the Clearance Sale section within 7 work days.

Standard Postal Service (PTT): 

PTT is the national postal service of Turkey and is useful for delivering to many countries. It takes about 20-40 workdays to deliver depending on the destination. There is a chance of avoiding custom taxes with postal service but, to be clear, we cannot guarantee that. It has been more useful for buyers especially from Europe, based on our experience. 

Even though it is sometimes more expensive than DHL Express for some destinations and it is much slower, you should consider this method if you want to try your chance for avoiding custom taxes up to a certain point.

If you are from Russia, Ukraine or Belarus, please check with us the current availability of cargo service. We deliver to Russia, Ukraine and Belarus with a regional cargo service whose specialty is this area, however, we always need to double check the availability because of the very unfortunate war situation going on.

​

​DHL Express: 

DHL's estimated delivery time is 2-7 working days, which varies according to the country. For example, deliveries to European countries are delivered within 2-4 days, deliveries to USA and Canada are delivered within 3-5 days, and deliveries to Australia may take up to 10-15 days. 

There is no chance of avoiding customs duties when you receive your package with DHL Express.

Customs & Duty (Especially for the EU Countries)

Especially for the EU, after the new regulations on VAT (since July 2021), please note that, it is possible duties will be applied to your orders.

​We'd like to remind you that we do not have any jurisdiction about the customs applications and cannot interfere to the customs procedures. Please check the customs policy of your country to avoid any surprises.

Please note, we cannot accept returns because of duties.

You may consider a slower delivery with standard postal service and try your chance on avoiding at least some of the customs expenses.

RETURN POLICY

You can change your shoes if;

  • the shoes received are different from the order

  • the shoes are damaged

  • the shoe size needs to be changed.

To be eligible for a change for the shoe size;

  • The product should be purchased in the last 30 days

  • The product should be in its original packaging

  • The product shouldn't be used or damaged

Products that do not meet these criteria will not be changed.

  • Please note, we cannot accept the import taxes, duties and any transportation costs that occur in the destination country, as a valid reason for returns and refunds. 

  • ​Custom made products (custom design shoes, shoes with half sizes, etc.), items from clearance sale cannot be changed or refunded.

  • In case of changes; If there is a price difference between the two different products, we will kindly ask for the payment of this difference. The price of the product (that is requested to be exchanged) at the time of the purchase willl be accounted, while, the price of the new product when the exchange is requested will be accounted. The price difference will be paid by the buyer

Shipping costs due to the return or change of a product are non-refundable.

Any duties and import taxes, as well as transportation costs that may occur in the destination country are non-refundable.

Initial shipping cost is non-refundable. This also applies to products purchased with a free shipping campaign. ​In this case, the shipping cost will be calculated according  to the standard post service shipping fees.
